Winter Wrap-up with Perrin

Please excuse the lateness of this post! Perrin and I actually did shoot this back in December when this post should have come out but the entire month was insanely chaotic with work and holidays and then I left for my trip (more on that later!) but better late than never right? Plus, winter is like, the longest season in Ottawa, so these outfits are still relevant even now! So herreeeee we goooo! Preloved Camel coat from United Colours of Benneton Vintage saddlebag thrifted from VV Fur hat from Danier Sunglasses from Banana Republic Scarf from my parents Knit gloves from Michael Kors Q: How do you stay stylish in colder weather? Accessories are a must: hats and scarves and gloves all add to an outfit.  But really, it's all about the outwear. I like to look for defined waist, and a high neck is handy too because sometimes I'm too lazy to wear a scarf. Ruched sleeves are nice to have as well, to block wind from going up your sleeves. Magical Merrymaking

Tomorrow is the first day of December and you know what that means! Christmas season will officially begin :) although judging by the decorations in many stores, you would've thought it had started immediately following Halloween! If it were up to me, no ornament would be the same -- they'd all be unique, like snowflakes. Part of the motivation for wanting a tree was because Secret Santa exchange was being held at my house and I really w...

There's no place (that tastes) like home

Warming: this post may make you hungry After my last post on Ottawa , I realized that I never really did a post on Toronto. Since moving here, I've gone back about once a month --  three times so far.  I noticed that aside from my friends and family (which I miss very much of course), the second most-missed thing is definitely the food.  Naturally, it annoys my parents I'm not home for meals but honestly, after 4 weeks of not eating Toronto food, my To-Eat list is pretty long considering I'm only back for 2 days each time. First on the list is a pricier craving: I'm drooling right now, all over my keyboard This is the amaaaazing Golden Curry from Linda Modern Thai.  I first tried this during the Toronto Summerlicious event and literally went back the week after.  On top of the delicious golden curry sauce itself, the crispy beef is unbelievable - thin crispy outside and soft succulent inside.  Linda Modern Thai is a fancier restaurant so not...
